Was very happy that Amby invited me to join some of the guys for dinner last night, and I had a blast.
Amby is a really cool guy with a great taste in food (the stone crab was amazing). He gave me some shit (as did Matty) for visiting my parents since they are in town instead of telling them to fvck off and go out on the town, but I don't blame him for that, haha.
Blitty and MattRain were both the quiet types (which might have also had a lot to do with me and Casper running our mouths so much, haha), but both seem like genuinely cool guys. I'm willing to forgive blitty for being a Ducks fan (he didn't once mention how much the Kings suck which was a big plus) and Matt is a really cool guy with a good sense of humor. All of his vacation recap threads are TRUE, which makes it all even more awesome

Casper is the life of the party! I knew from his videos and posting and what not that I was going to get along with him, but he's even funnier and cooler in person. Amazing sense of humor and a real class act.
Teela, RogueJuror, and Jungleman showed up a bit later. Teela has a really good sarcastic sense of humor and was a lot of fun. RJ and Jungleman literally just exude cool, I really don't know how else to describe it. They have that "most interesting man in the world" vibe to them.
Bread and Shark showed up at the tail end of the night and I had to bail (because I'm lame) before I had the chance to hang out much with them. Alot like Casper, Bread has a super quick wit and a great sense of humor too; he doesn't just write funny, he is funny. Shark I barely got to talk to at all, but he seemed super cool and to be in such good spirits after the brutal trip (all sorts of flight delays and bullshit) says a lot about him, I'd have been cranky as hell.
Anyway, thanks again amby for the invite. Great night of good wine, good food, and lots of laughs. Can't wait to meet other posters tonight at the meet and greet!
