#14What's interesting is how moderators become lifers, making it their career choice. Kicked to the curb or leaving on their own terms, they end up at another forum seeking the same "job".
When I started posting on forums (back when the software didn't allow users to register a name), moderators were all volunteers, even at large forums. Now we have people vying for these coveted (yes, sarcasm) positions.
