There were no Powerball winners last night.
The jackpot is now creeping up towards a billion dollars.
A billion dollars! That's a thousand million.

As a rule I stay far away from state and national run lotteries for several reasons.
I think I'm making an exception this Wednesday.
Jackpot starts at 730 million, with a one time straight cash payout option of 536 million,
You know the jackpot will climb way over that 730 million starting point.

I know what the odds are of winning this thing, the odds are you have a better chance of seeing Jesus directing traffic on Wednesday than winning, (actually the odds are 292 million to 1).

Don't care, I'll make an exception, I got a couple of twenties laying around doing not much but collecting dust in my desk draw that I keep handy in case I need chump change for a food delivery tip or something.
If the money (after overhead) goes to where they say it's going (senior citizen causes, education, etc.) then yeah, I'll make an exception and take a chance,

Seriously, how often do you get a shot at a billion dollars.

They had a report from a lawyer on the news on what you should do if you win:

1. Tell no one.
2. Get a lawyer (of course).
3. Get a financial planner. You're rich now so you need to avoid paying any future taxes on the winnings after the initial tax is taken out. Rich people have accountants do this all the time so they pay $0 in taxes yet rake in millions each year.
4. Set up a private corporation via the lawyer so that XYZ company cashes the ticket. That way you can remain anonymous (even in the states that require the winner to go public). All people will know is that XYX company won the lottery, not you personnally.
5. Cash in ticket via the XYZ shell company that you.
6. Hide from your money-sucking relatives because they will know something is up when you start buying islands and/or small countries and have a $300k ride. They may not know you won the lottery if they guess it, just tell them you won a consolation prize ($1-2MM) not the whole enchilada.

Finally, find JJ's house. S#!t in a bag with $5k in hundred dollar bills. Put the bag on his doorstep and light it on fire. Immediately text him and let him know if he hurries, he can get the money.

My buddy bought 5 tickets for mega millions the other day, quick picks.

The first 4 numbers that came out matched his ticket. But not the last 2. All 6 was jackpot, 5 whites was a million and 4 whites plus mega ball was 10k...he got a whopping $500.

I told him never to play the lotto ever again because do you know how almost impossible it was just to match the first 4 #s?? I believe the true odds are actually 38,000-1...just shows you how much a scam the lotto is.
