didn't think it was a particularly good movie. A racing movie from the bettors perspective, such as "Let it Ride" is infinitely better. imo

I liked it a lot. It was the end of an era. Horses did not travel much, there were no highways back in those days. The race lifted racing to a national past time.

They should make a movie about how they killed off Barbarro after forcing him back in the gate. There must be a story there somewhere. That was the best 3 year old I've seen.
