Celebrating New Years with the neighborhood.
Everyone on our cul-de-sac is planning on being out in their driveways (social distancing of course) with each setting off fireworks to ring in the new year. The rain and clouds should clear out about sundown on Thursday so it'll be a perfect night for fireworks, just a little cold (40F).
Hopefully, the nextdoor neighbor shares his homemade wine like last year. The guy built an underground wine cellar several years back and makes great wine.
New Year's day will start with black-eyed peas, andouille sausage, and rice with bloody marys. It's a southern tradition (the black-eyed peas) to bring prosperity in the new year.

Been there done that. Hit all the big spots on New Year's over the years except for NYC.
It's all overrated, best just to chill with family and friends and throw our own little party.
The crowds were never worth it and this year they definitely won't be worth it.

My 31 yr old niece her 5yr old daughter and 3 yr old son has COVID..
She said she went from fever to hard to breath but hasn't went to hospital..
Both Kids had/has fever..
They live in Maryland near DC.....
My county had 50% of total deaths just in December!
When 2nd wave started there were only 98 deaths in my county..
As of today there are 405 Total deaths in my county!
