Someone said that from the Stratosphere alone there have been a number of jumpers.Not sure if you can even get on a ledge up there?You would think that it would make national news like it does for people jumping in Niagara Falls to kill themselves.It's widely known that they squelch all suicides and put the cause of death as something else putting the kaibosh on the real story.Vegas really does have to be the suicide capital of the world though.Both visitors and regulars alike have alot of problems and some figure on going for one last harrah where they might win their problems away and when they don't,it's bite the bullet time.A major case I heard of is where someone jumped out of a window while the light show was going on downtown and they landed dead on the overhang.I wonder if the light show where the song, Pennies from heaven was playing.

It's kind of creepy thinking that probably on every floor of every hotel at least a handful of people did themselves in.Anyone here ever see a suicide scene in a casino-hotel?

Last casino suicide I heard about was one where an off duty Detroit cop blew his head off right in the table area of Caesar's Detroit or Windsor?

Hard to jump out of a vegas hotel room nowadays unless you have a tool to get those bolts off the window. They have those rides at the top of the stratosphere..I guess thats how the people get up to jump...I wonder if they scream WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE on the way down.

I was at the LUXOR one evening when a guy jumped from his hotel room onto the casino floor.

Since then, I believe they have since made it impossible for somebody to do this.

Not a casino/hotel, but did watch a jumper take his last step off the roof from the hotel I was staying at in Hong Kong back in the mid-70s. Figured it would be the worst, most tragic thing I would see on that trip. I was wrong.

A guy could go up on the Strat and do the James Cagney quote from the movie White Heat where he says,top of the world mom.

True story,I heard when Roy got attacked by the lion,people in the audience were heard saying,don't worry,it's just part of the act.

Jump from the strat and people probably would be thinking it's Chris Angel the mind freak doing a stunt.

Warfare laws and law of the jungle would apply where there would be people pouncing on the splattered guys wallet.It would have to be a good watch though if it survived that shock.John Cameron Swayzee never did that Timex commercial on tv.

I have heard from Vegas locals that suicides happen quite often in casinos/hotels, but are never publicized. Not sure if this is true.

Before the customer is frisked from his wallet,the casino need to frisk them for guns !
