Michigan administration does not care about football as much as previous ones. Recent Michigan alumni in the last 15 years do not care about football as much as previous ones. It’s mostly a liberal school for foreigners now. People that barely know or care about the game. These are the facts.

Nobody cares but the arrogance of the old guard is still alive and well. It also doesn’t hurt Harbaugh that Warde (AD) both played for Bo. Harbaugh goes when he wants. Not saying it’s right but it is reality.

Yup. Texas another traditional powerhouse that hasn’t rebounded and keeps going through coach after coach. Notre Dame was that was that way for a while til they found Brian Kelly. Ohio State same til Urban Meyer. Now both those programs are powerhouses again.

His first year there he did little to no recruiting, so I start with 2016

2016: 8th
2017:5th
2018: 22nd
2019: 8th
2020: 14th

3 top 10's, including a top 5, a 14th and 22nd in 5 yrs

That may not beat Bama, but that is PLENTY of talent to work with

He has run the program into the ground with TALENT

How is this an administration problem????

What are they supposed to do, coach the team?????

No game strategy, time management, game plans or in game adjustments

Players completely unprepared and unmotivated

They can't block or tackle
Special teams disasters
Dumb penalties and turnovers

Not only has he never beaten a good team, he isn't even competitive with them

Has gotten worse EVERY year, with talent

His tenure at Michigan has been the worst coaching job in college football history considering what he had to work with

My point was in response to why he is not being fired not in response to his performance. I agree his performance is trash. I’m also cautious about recruiting rankings because so many kids transfer or don’t pan out. It’s a crap shoot. The other programs over sign and back fill better too. Re-read the thread, my response was in regards to why he hasn’t been fired. It’s just not a priority. President Schlissel doesn’t even know where the football office is. The previous AD made the hire signed by the previous president. You totally missed the point. The current admin just isn’t interested in hiring/firing or anything football. Harbaugh goes when he wants. That’s the sad state of affairs.

Mags, it’s soooooo bad there right now. I will never make an excuse for Harbaugh. It is absolutely brutal to watch. The kids never get better and the play calling/preparation only gets worse....

This program is a joke. What happened to the guy trying to fight Carroll and Jim Schwartz on the sideline? Where did Jim go? What we have been watching is absolutely shameful. They should be embarrassed but to our point- where the fuk are they? Where is the admin? When you know, you know and they are MIA. They probably let him step down/retire and he keeps the change.

I’m telling you pal- they are more concerned with being a liberal arts school, flying rockets, getting more foreign kids in and solving climate change. It’s the sad state and it pisses me off. It was a very different school when I went there... now the student section (albeit 2020) is half empty and filled with kids that couldn’t care less about the program. We were inebriated and trying to win games and penetrate the other teams fans. The admin seems to not care whatsoever and that is probably most frustrating beyond their shit play. You and I would have AXED the guy long ago but they just don’t seem to care.
