Has anyone read the details of his massive profits through Bet on sports while it was still in operation? He was handling almost 2 billion a year in wagers and was expanding by financing and investing in new sportsbooks. He was a high school dropout from New Jersey and was brilliant enough to get the ball rolling but an absolute idiot who stayed in the game too long.He should have known that the government was going to come down on him like a ton of bricks using him as an example to others. He has to pay a 44 million dollar fine and him and his family members in the operation will be sentenced to prison time.I'm sure he has 10's of millions of dollars stashed away but who wants to serve a few years in jail because you got greedy? What's the difference if you would have gotten out clean with 50 million bucks or would have gotten bigger where you are worth hundreds of millions. Now he probably has less than he would have if he got out early and unscathed.
JJ,I don't recall you ever mentioning that you knew this guy.Lots of Jersey people here, someone must have known him back when he was a local bookie?
We have an exact case like this in Minnesota where a massive car dealer named Denny Hecker who came from absolute poverty made it huge and is now going to prison.
