let me explain to you something.. you know montreal is a bilingual city. it's all french and english.. mtl is 70% french and 30% english..i have about 60 friends of mine who speak ONLY english and not 1 word of french. not 1.. and french here is the 1st language and english is 2nd..

and here, french is spoken 4x more than english, and i know 60 guys that don't even know how to say hello in french.. and we live in a french city here.. you'll always have guys like that who only speak 1 language even if it's bilingual. just like there's about 1.3 million frenchies here who don't speak 1 word of english. i swear there is an area here 1.5 miles from here where if i asked for the time in english, they would look stunned and not know what to say..

nicky, my father's also egyptian, but he never taught me arabic because the only arabic school in the area was muslim. are u fluent in arabic? p.s. egyptian and arabic are two different languages, but i'm assuming u mean arabic since egyptian is rare.

yes masu, i am pretty fluent in arabic, but not perfect at all.. my father's side of his family was also egyptian and i think arabic is a language.. i think it's the same as egyptian.. not sure..

cairo is a beautiful place. downtown is clean.. the city is good.. maybe not the outskirts.. but cairo has history and the ancient stuff is good, like the pyramids, the museums, the mummys are great.. that's why people like blitter spend thousands to go see it, cause it's like nothing you've ever seen.

everybody wants to go to egypt for the scenery.. the pyramids, the sphinx.. the camels..it really is something to see. but not to live there of course.. the culture there is unreal.. it really is something to see.. just ask blitter.
