High School athletic director faces Jail Time for prayer

Florida school principal and an athletic director who are facing criminal charges and up to six months in jail over their offer of a mealtime prayer.

There have been yard signs, T-shirts and a mass student protest during graduation ceremonies this spring on behalf of Pace High School Principal Frank Lay and school athletic director Robert Freeman, who will go on trial Sept. 17 at a federal district court in Pensacola for breaching the conditions of a lawsuit settlement reached last year with the American Civil Liberties Union.

Nice to see you can get up to six months in jail for praying, but you can walk away with no jail sentence if you have an affair with a child you teach in Florida. Another reason why Florida is a state that needs to be blown up (after my mom and Bread leave the state of course).

The ACLU is the most useless sue happy group in the country. I dont know the details here, but if the guy was saying a prayer at his table before eating thats his business. Now if he was making students listen to prayers in the lunch room, Id say thats a different matter. Either way everyone would be better off without the ACLU getting involved.
