Had a great day in Tampa yesterday, headed over from Orlando around noon and stopped at the Hard Rock for about 3 hours or so before the concert. I have played in their card room many a time in the past, but haven't been since they changed things. Completely awesome, I could not believe how much they expanded things since my last visit. A much wider variety of things to choose from - I remember the card room and bingo slots from before, now it has a ton of new options, like video poker, video balckjack, more card games. I understand why Fishhead hangs there as much as he does.
The concert was FANTASTIC. For those of you that don't know, it was Cheap Trick, Poison and Def Leppard, in that order. Neither of the bands missed a beat, it was far from a geriatric reunion. I had seen Def Leppard before, and Poison several times. I am a huge Cheap Trick fan, and hadn't seen them prior to yesterday. Lots of tailgating, and a nice venue at the Ampitheatre - we had seats, so the rain was not a factor. I'm sure I had seen prior concerts with some of the girls around us, lol. Sans the $10 beers, it was a blast!!!!
