The "Nicky Santoro" character was actually called Anthony Spilotro in real life, and he ended up buried alive in a cornfield, like in the movie.

After just looking it up, it says he was killed and buried in a cornfield in Indiana on June 14, 1986.

I thought Pesci played him well. A real hardass, capable of flying off the handle at any moment.

I ran into Tony Spilotro(Nicky Santoro) a couple three times in downtown Vegas(once at the county courthouse) Didn't actually meet him(although I may have earlier and didn't know who he was at the time).

As far as Sonny, he was my boss for 2 years at the old Castaways and we quickly became friends and continued to be long after the Castaways closed in 1987 until his recent death.

I could sit here all day and not tell you all the good things for what Sonny stood for and what he taught me about in this business..........a true icon and legend in the sportsbetting world with few peers.
