fade cubs and wells in 30 mins
at first glance I was gonna take the cubs -1.5 today as i thought Aram was coming back today... he is not.

Randy Wells, former catcher, is due for some major regression... and i think it comes today at the hands of the AAA pirates. Wells is hitting some red flag areas in innings pitched this year, and in his last 3 games he set a record for combined pitch count. He is already showing signs of some dead arm....

I see him getting lit up for 5-7 runs in 4-5 innings today...

Garrett Jones is due for a couple homers anyways

    Pirates +1.5
    pirates ml
    pirates -1.5
    and over 9

It's already ugly. The over might hit in the 2nd inning.

                          Most impressive statistic:

Charlie Morton had a 3.81 ERA in ten starts entering this game.

His ERA is now 5.51 after allowing TEN EARNED RUNS and only recording three outs.

                                True...

                                Cubs won 17-2.

Chris Bootcheck entered the game with a 21.6 ERA. It actually rose. He allowed seven earned runs in 2.1 innings. That was his longest appearance of the season. His ERA is now 24.75.

The game featured 19 runs in the first four innings and zero runs in the last five.
