Do you add up all your balances after the day and make sure they match up EVERYDAY
This is probably more a question for the guys with a multiple accounts, who play let's say a minimum of a few games on average a night.

What I am getting at is at the end of the day do you add up everything up and keep a running figure of what exactly you have in each one of your accounts, making sure it all matches or do you just add everything up from time to time and go from there?

Started making this a routine that I log in and out of every account each night (or sometimes morning) and make sure all my figures match nightly in each one and that the overall balance matches also. Knowing down to the exact dollar how much money you have out there?

Though pretty basic, I think it is a smart thing to do, no surprises or mistakes this way. I am generally a high volume player year round. Before I would do this once a week or so and it seems most of the times things just didn't quite add up.

I think it is the "right" thing to do. And I would do it in an ideal world.

I know this is a slacker mentality, but at the height of my betting, I really didn't want to know how my bets were doing every single day. I knew that the vast majority of them had a positive expectation. I would do a check every few days, but my mentality wasn't such that I could handle the swings every day and certainly not every single night. The ups from winning where nothing, but the lows from getting crushed where tough to take. I am not recommending that approach. I view it as a flaw, but in order to bet the amount I needed to bet, I had to put record keeping on the back burner.

Absolutely. My checking accounts are balanced to the penny also.

Not OCD, common sense in my opinion.

Not so much how I did for the day overall, I always do that and keep track of my daily results but more making sure everything added up correctly and I was on the same page as the books with how much oney was in each one, etc....

Like for example if I started the day with my money spread out into 9 books, I knew exactly how much I had out there in all the books combined, then at the end of the day, after tallying my results up, I knew EXACTLY how much money I had in those 9 books combined and at each book seperately, every night.

Always wondered if many others do this. Like I said probably pretty useless if you only play at one book or don't make many wagers but more for guys who make a lot of plays daily or have their money spread around at mnay places.

I have caught many a mistake this way also (99% of the time my fault).
