By the way........

CARL CRAWFORD is a clone to Tim Raines.

At his current pace, CARL will end up amazingly close in many categories with Raines..........HR's, RBI'S, SB's, and BA to name just a few. I found this on my own when comparing the two a couple weeks ago..........SCARY comparison.

Both also have an ALL-STAR game MVP under their belts.

my hero in baseball by far in montreal was a tie between Gary Carter and Timmy Rock Raines.. man did i love timmy. he was by far the most exciting player i had ever seen till today, and that includes rickey henderson, albert pujols, barry bonds.. timmy was great to watch.. if he led off with a walk, it was like a leadoff triple. .he had 2nd and 3rd stolen easily. no one could throw him out.. and he had a great eye at the plate.

i think he might be the all time leader in sb pct.. he hardly ever got caught. i loved timmy.. a sure hall of famer.. what great memories i have of timmy..

thanks for bringing me back to my happy time in life..

You are correct, Raines has the highest career sb pct of a NL player (willie wilson AL).

The highest pct from a guy in both leagues is also the highest in of all time, Carlos Beltran surprisingly enough. Minimum of 300 attempts.

Far from a rookie poster, been around a lot longer than you probably. You may be older but as far as forums, I have been there from the start of them.

I don't pay attention to a lot of threads etc etc, I am sure it was addressed before that Nicky has posters of Timmy in his room, just missed it that is all. Fishy, when are you holding your slot seminars via Skype?

fishler, it's impressive how you'd remember i like timmy.. i only spoke about him maybe 4 to 5 times back at rx and mw in 2000 to 2003, that's it..

it could have been a lot worse. he could have asked me if i liked Guy Lafleur, my all time idol.. i think anyone that knows me at all would know i love Guy Lafleur. so asking about timmy raines wasn't so bad..
