At this point, not many people do see the point. I think it's a mixture of people/players that truly do believe it is the right thing to do and believe in what they are doing and then people/players/(DEFINITELY) league big wigs that know that optically, it will look terrible if they play and they know they will get destroyed in the media if they play.

Starting to hear that players might want the "change" to be new elected officials that they endorse and they won't play until that happens. This sounds like a conspiracy theory to me, but then again, with the lack of foresight from any of these players or league officials, I can't discount it. I know nothing about the law, but that sounds illegal to me. Wouldn't that infringe on players rights within the league? If Joe Blow wants to vote for Candidate B instead of A, but the league is trying to force him (by withholding paychecks) to vote for Candidate A?

Seriously though with how divided we are as a country this should be the first step. Our country needs such a rude awakening it’s sad.
The problem with this move is without looking past the first page of this thread before I write this comment, unless all sports do it it’s just going to lead to some people saying they won’t watch the nba. And then it’ll be a bunch more racist comments.
We’re so divided as a country and it’s going to take our leaders to get on the same page before people finally do. We aren’t smart enough as a culture to just want to be better people. It’s going to need to be a top down approach. Going to need all sports to cancel to even remotely come close to people caring.
