South Strip to Downtown for Friday reception?
Anyone headed from the south Strip area (South Point, Silverton, M Resort) to the Nugget for the Friday reception? I'm looking to hitch a ride to avoid a 1½ hour bus ride. PM me.

Taxi's to/from strip to downtown were no big deal last year.

anyone planning on taking at least one cab ride a day would be better off renting a car...

I spent $200 on cabs at last years bash, got a car rental for $250 for the week. Unless parking becomes a problem I'm way ahead of the game. I do know that DUI is a big no no in vegas and the cops are ready to pounce on it.

Yea, car rentals are almost the way to go unless you plan on just sitting at casinos in one location the whole time you are going to be there... This is still even true with the cost having gone up in last year since the auto industry isn't as willing to hand out cars to the rental industry at highly discounted prices...

One just needs to make sure they don't get scammed on the full coverage insurance and other add on for rentals as these can over $75 a day in some cases... I only have liability on my clunker at home that doesn't cover car rentals so I always bump it up to full coverage for trips and get changed it back when I get home to avoid these rip off insurance "deals" for by rental companies... Some credit cards will cover you as well...

Parking is actually pretty good in Vegas as all the casinos have free self-parking and you can always use valet as needed...

And a GPS is a great investment for even those who travel infrequently...
