Anyone know something about guns?

someone i know dropped their glock and i know for a fact that it has a history. i have already filed at the tip of the firing pin and bent it a tiny bit, but i dont want to go out and buy a 9mm barrel that won't fit. do glocks (this one is a glock 17) need a special barrel?

p.s. I know this is a sports forum but it doesnt hurt to ask.

Your not going to remove the guns fingerprint by changing the barrel, that would require changing the reciever.Just like the barrel, every chamber/extractor leaves a distinct fingerprint.
