ATLANTA -- Atlanta police say a third suspect they believe is the triggerman who killed World Championship boxer Vernon Forrest, has been arrested.
Charmon Sinkfield, 30, of Atlanta, was picked up by the US Marshal's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF). Atlanta Homicide Lt. Keith Meadows told 11 Alive News Sinkfield was arrested on I-20 near the H.E. Holmes Road exit just inside I-285.
Lt. Meadows says they believe Sinkfield was the suspect who shot and killed Forrest on July 27. Forrest was filling his cars tires with air at a gas station on McDaniel Street when he was approached by a gunman who robbed him.
Police earlier arrested Demario Ware, 20, who they believe was the man who robbed Forrest. A third suspect, Jquante Crews, 25, is believed to be the driver of the car the suspects were in.
