if you have a reasonable estimate of your edge it is a good idea to bet different amounts varying your edge. Otherwise its better to bet a fixed amount. if you have a exact estimate of your edge you might want to look at the kelly criterion.

Lets say you had a starting bankroll of $1000.00 for NFL season. What would be the wager amounts for each game played.

I would say it depends on how much you like the game.....

If you are not sharp enough to calculate your edge, I would bet the same percentage of bankroll on each game (2.5% works for me). That way, your bet size size naturally adjusts as your bankroll rises/falls.

I personally don't like to bet many games because in the end you pay the vig. I'll usually try to get a lean on 3 games and usually 1 game will be my favorite and I bet my highest amount on that game. My 2nd best gets the next highest followed by the 3rd. If I don't feel good about any line, I won't bet any line. I only bet on what I feel good on.

If I'm hot, I'll probably bet more games but if I'm cold I bet less games and lower my average bet.

$120 a game is a good amount if you think it's a good amount. It's 2% of your bank which sounds good but it really depends on what your willing to lose and win. You may have a great lean on a game and should probably bet $2,000 or you may not have a great lean and should probably only bet $10... It's all relative.

I much rather get 1 or 2 good leans then guessing on 10 games of chance.
