Grew up around Mountain Brook back when Birmingham was larger than Atlanta (which wasn't that many years ago). If you guys are old enough you'll remember Birmingham was offered first crack at the huge regional airport, turned it down because they didn't want all the added populace, and now Atlanta is what it is (making Birmingham look like geniouses in my humble opinion). They called Mountain Brook "Little Israel" when I was around there, and I think I was the only Protestant on my street.
