1 thread had 18 pages worth of power posting...

20 guys copying my idea of bookmaking for points....my bookie shop is now closed before it even opened, I couldn't even find the thread it was burried in so much whore shit

This SBR Points thing is going to have SBR lose a lot of the valued posters, but will give SBR a profit. It's clear what their direction is here.

Its just cause its new and there is nothing else going on. This is forumville, the points will fade in a day or two. It will be a nice addition, not the everyday focal point. (uhhh, hey buddy can you spare a point for a brother?)

i think its a good idea.. gives people something to wager with against other posters when they disagree.. gotta think long term here..

Its far more than just a reward system for posting. If it causes power posting that hurts the forum then that part will be changed. It will not be allowed to hurt the forum long term I can assure you that. Give them time to work the kinks out.

All SBR projects never fail. Points system is good. In one night it made guys like onthewhat, jjgold, Fishhead, Nicky Santoro et al irrelevant. Ghosting is not even an issue anymore.

Congrats SBR John and company for this great idea. I think it will work well. It will remove the weeds and pests out quickly.
