Good luck. My soccer play today is probably going to be Mexico -0,-1/2. At the best price I can find it of course.

With all the talk about the US finally getting over the hump I'm not sure what to think, it is pretty difficult to go against Mexico with the current streak they have going and it seems like the media is really pushing the fact that this is a different US team, I think I'll stay away from this one.....but GL with your play.

With the exact logic you have I tried to talk myself out of this bet but I just can't. The USA is just not in warmed up nearly enough to handle this Mexico team who most of their players are in mid-season form. Add to the fact the altitude will make a dramatic effect on the USA players stamina.

Using that reasoning I like your lean/play with Mexico.....

You should visit at least once I suppose. City wise, you have Dublin etc but if you are into scenery, Ireland is a nice place to be. I recommend Glendalough (Wicklow) and The Cliffs of Moher (Clare) and the Arann Islands (Off the Coast of galway)

My buddy who went visited Dublin and made a stop by the Cliffs of Moher. Said he didn't want to come back to USA.

I know someone whom didn't want to return to Ireland after coming to visit me for a month. Apparently, Ireland has that effect on a lot of people, dunno why

Well, first of all, do you know much about the sport? Watch it or know the basic rules? If not, I wouldnt advise betting on it at least until you can get the basics down.
Like most sports, look for key players that will or will not be playing for the squad. Injuries etc. Also, look at the teams last couple of meetings together, were they draws, who won etc. Also look at what the team or teams management would deem as priority.
For example, Manchester United playing in a Carling Cup match against a lower string team. Ferguson will most likely player a youth squad (as has been done previously) because he wants to rest his main squad so they can focus more on the higher leagues (champions league, premier leauge etc)
Also look at the amount of games played previously to the fixture in question. Team A (favourite) and Team B (dog). Lets say Team A have played 3 matches in the last week and Team B have played 1. You can look at this in two ways, if Team A have not rotated their squad, they will be more tired (in theory anyway) than Team B. However, the second way of looking at is, Team A have played more games and possibly won so they may be more confident with more play time under their belt. You would just have weigh up the experience of the teams in question.

I hope so too, I was thinking of taking the match odds but the asian handicap -1 looks appealing.

Aussies are missing a KEY defender due to injury. Ireland for the first time in ages are playing their strongest squad.

Bumping this thread. As stated in another thread, Ireland lost 3-0 to Australia. However, Ireland are unbeaten in the world cup qualifiers but have lost two friendlys played (Poland, Australia).
Ireland should have no issue beating Cyprus (sat 5th sep). The odds are 1/1 (EVENS) across the board it would seem.
Get on my fanboy play of the week

Cheers Rogue Soccer is my sport. I don't have a clue about Baseball, Basketball, American Football, Golf, the list goes on. I'll most likely post my soccer plays also but don't tail them - Only won a very small amount from gambling on soccer (couple of hundred). I suppose, as I always say, it's better to be physically up money than down money even if it's only chump change to some
