Yeah, Rooney was his best trainer by far. Once his dumb wife made him fire Rooney, it was downhill. The young boys that latched on to him knew nothing about the fight game. I still can’t believe how I’ll prepared in the Buster Douglas fight. They used a ballon, maybe a condom filled with water on his cut.

I still give Tyson a punchers chance. He can still land haymakers, and all he needs is to just land one. Longer the fight goes? Then I agree. Bad news for Tyson

This was always a fantasy fight for me with Mike being a small Heavyweight. If they would have ever been able to match up on weights, Roy Jones Jr vs Mike Tyson would have been the highest grossing boxing fight of all time.

At their ages now, I’ll def watch but feel like I missed out seeing it in their primes.

I think Roy would have won in their primes. He’d have outboxed Mike.

Tell that to George Foreman. He was retired for 10 years. Came back at age 44 and knocked out Michael Moorer to win the HW title.

Bernard Hopkins won a title at age 48. I think it’s great these guys can put on a show. And since it’s an exhibition with no drug testing, you know both Tyson and Jones are going to be juiced up. This is going to be great. I’m honestly as interested in this fight as Conor vs Mayweather. Which says how in need boxing is of some stars.

I bet Paquaio fights till he’s 60

For the casual sports fan that rarely watches boxing or even MMA this will attract huge attention. Where novelty and intrigue way overpower pure competiveness or displays of top athletes plying their craft in their prime. The unknowns here are fascinating.

He went on to win 18 more fights since then. The last being a little over TWO years ago.
