Tyson is 54. Jones is 51. Tyson spent half his life on drugs, especially coke and weed. Then he needed antidepressants just to cope. Jones has always took good care of his body. Jones is a natural fighter, excellent defensive skills, almost as quick as moneyMay and rarely gets hit. Tyson has a lot of foot flaws and is not a good defender. People bet on Tyson’s punching power but that’s been gone years ago.

Neither of them should be fighting but money makes people do stupid things. Jones never really had a big payday. He was never a big PPV draw because he dominated the division. Tyson made ridiculous money but was stupid. I think he still owes the IRS.

Very true. Tyson did not rape that girl. She wanted $1 million to settle but Tyson said no out of principle, which was stupid. Pay the girl and chalk it up to lesson learned. Hell, he made $60m in just 3 fights that lasted about 3 minutes total. 3 years in jail versus a million? He really made a lot of bad decisions after Cus.

Agreed... for the most part. Cus died in 1985. Tyson was only 11-0 at the time and he still had Cus's trainer Kevin Rooney. After he fired Kevin Rooney in 1988... that was it. He wasn't the same after that.

Roy Jones is one of my favorite boxers of all time. Had he retired before the age of 35 I think he would be in the top 10 of just about anyone's pound for pound list. Roy was really a lot of fun to watch in the 90's... I don't think anyone could touch him at the time. Just as Mike was in the 80's.


2 undisputed legends here in my opinion... I don't know if this fight will be sad to watch or not... but it looks as if Tyson can still hit like a truck.

Roy Jones dominated during his prime the problem was that no one was in his weight class. Towards the end he bulked up quite a bit and moved to 2-3 weight classes to light heavyweight to challenge himself.
