Just told some guy off at the post office

I park my go and am walking toward the main entrance. A guy is 50 feet ahead of me and is holding the door open for me.

So I approach the door, and say "I coulda got that myself"

He says "Why not"

Dunno what that means.... but anyways I say, "I'm in my mid 20s and in pretty good shape I am more than capable of pulling the door open.. Learn from your mistakes"

He didn't respond so if I see him again I assume he won't be so stupid to hold the fuckin door open for me.

No, I think you missed the point of the reason he held it open. Are you of the belief that doors should only be held open for women, children, and elderly? I'll hold the door open for anyone until they place their hand on it just because it's polite.

Now, this has a range obviously, if he was really 50ft away from you then it's weird to wait that long to hold the door open and I see why you would consider that strange, but I doubt you were 50ft away from him.
