That I do not know sammy. Maybe John or Bill can better inform you of this move.

Well they did away pretty much with their 1/2 pt promotion. They are pretty much worthless now. Either way, it won't matter...we won't be able to bet much longer online.

You ask a question, someone tries to answer it, and this is your response?

SB profiled themselves specifically as the home of the free half point. That was what gave them their edge and identity for a number of years, so was not just 'a promotion'.

Ok so they havnt got this edge anymore, all that means is a promo has been discontinued It still ist a reason to downgrade a book

Slow paying or shit CS, thats a reason to downgrade

If you think CS is more important than a free half point across the board, good luck my friend. You'll need it.

Dark - from the players point of view, yes I agree, a free 1/2 point means more to me than bad customer service. However from SBR doing the sportbook rankings I don't see why a book ending a promotion would take a ratings hit just for that. It's like saying another place got downgraded because they stopped doing no juice Friday or some other in-house promotion. I don't think that has anything to do with their grade being lowered. I am curious what is going on myself, maybe Bill will comment. If Nine for example hasn't been downgraded I can't wait to hear what Skybook has done to merit one.

maybe it was the late lines, or crappy bonus policy, or average CS, or the fact that you can't withdraw ANY of your money at all until after you meet your rollover once accepting a bonus?...possibly it was the -114 you often have to pay to make a wager (don't believe the hype of this -107)...it might have even been their $15 charge for neteller withdrawals...

Cascade received the same downgrade from A- to B+, and if I remember the comments correctly this wasn't unanimous. It's probably a fine line, that's not always as clear as the players would like it to be.

Just speculating. In some cases it might be better not to explain why a book was downgraded. In the present climate a slight concern about financial stability could result in a downgrade, but to mention that reason publicly could really hurt a book. I'd rather have SBR err on the side of caution. Financial safety has to be the main concern today with books like WWTS and Pinny dropping out. We should be safe with the A books.

Verifiable financial stability and strong track record would probably be the reasons....

SBR mods etc seem to keeping a low profile. Do you think they are seking legal advice ?Could this be the end of SBR ?
