The idea is already trash.

It would have to be every 31 seconds since SBR has a 30 second post buffer already in place.

For the record, if such a bot existed we'd be sure to warn you to turn it off. If you didn't, it wouldn't take long for your bot to end up on post-review or private zone exclusively.

That said... the idea of onthewhat actually programing an auto-post bot made me laugh out loud, and I'd really love to see him do it.

We could set up a 'No Points Zone,' which was really sort of a joke idea when I first thought of it but seems to be a damn good idea now that I think about it a little more. No Points Zone for simple handicapping and serious discussions. Would have to put a big fat No Crybabies sign on the front door and enforce it strictly. Thanks for the idea pavy, I'll give you some of my points as a reward later.

Why am I being forced to earn points? I post here because I like it. If I post a lot people will say I do it for the points. I want my SBR points feature turned off permanently so people wouldn't know how much I post. Is it so hard to set it up so posters who don't want to earn points have it removed permanently from their avatars?

The points fields appear under everyone's name. If you do not wish to use your points, you can give them out to some of your friends instead or have a capping contest for them.

For those concerned, after a couple of weeks the points focus will blow over and posters will forget about them largely. Then occassionally you will get something good for participating in the forum by redeeming points. Posters who post just for points will get curbed and have posts moved.
