I will agree with this only because of his luck to be the biggest in the time where mass media is everywhere. If you put Tiger back in Ali's day. And Ali today. Ali would be bigger. News coverage, the internet, the way culture is pushed through much wider landscapes is what pushes Tiger over the top.

It isn't even close. Tiger is going to be the first athlete to pass the billion dollar mark.

Tiger's win this past weekend drew a larger Nielsen audience than any regular season game Lebron has ever played in.
