I routinely sign up for tour stuff for various reasons, one of which is to see if someone might be a good fit for the front page site providing write-ups. Once I decide they're a no-go, I always reply to their "if you want to be removed from this e-mail list" link in their messages and most comply.
However, some do not and I'm quite certain that at least one of the services I've registered with is sharing the e-mail addys. No big surprise there, it's done all the time. Once I can prove which one it is I do promise to make their life a living hell.
So if you don't want to get on some of these lists with their mostly worthless picks and over-sensationalized promotions, here are a few to avoid:
Michael King (still not even sure how I got on this guy's address list, in fact I'm quite positive I never even signed up to be on the list since I would have never given out the e-mail addy he sends to. I've asked twice to be removed to no avail)
Anyone at SportsInternetSolutions with Bobby Esposito and Damon Roberts listed on a bunch of the messages I receive.
