I talked to my buddy who is a Buffalo cop and he said the cabbie had no marks on him and kept talking about a bruise but couldnt see one... I am really interested to see how this shakes out but it sounds like he knew who he was and is trying to get a pay day.

Normally you can spot a bullseeite artist pretty easily. I don't see that with this cabbie. Did you get that from watching the video?

I didnt watch the video but watched the news interview of him last night... I havent formed an opinion on it yet, I do know that he comes from a really good family and shit and this is like out of left field for Kane to do something like this. It just sounds messed up... Would they really hassle the guy if he didnt have the right change?? Maybe the cousin started it and Kane tried to break it up and the cabbie is pissed and blaming both??

Maybe he was bitch slapping him like he plays hockey? Don't follow hockey, so had to look up stats. Had 19 penalties (no majors) and all of 19 hits on players for the entire year! 1 check every 4 games? Hasn't perfected it yet I guess? Did lead the team in shots taken, 254! As we say in bball, a gunner! So this kid isn't a tough guy who sometimes loses it?

Final opinion from cabbie's side and Kane's numbers, sounds like a cheap ass young punk who had a few to many to drink? If true, why would you steal the rest of his money that didn't belong to you! Can't give the guy a decent tip? I hope some player next year remembers this and beats the snot of him!!!

I agree MM... IF he did do this he is a piece of shit and deserves to get his ass kicked. They only found ONE ripped $5 bill though, so where would the rest of the money he supposedly stole go?? Just an all around weird situation...

Nobody knows what words were said or what the situation was. I doubt it had to do with being cheap. More likely the combo of Kane being wasted and the cabbie saying something to piss him off.

I haven't watched the video but I've read what allegedly took place, and I don't know. If that were to have taken place as alleged, one would assume Kane had to be drunk/high to do something that incredibly stupid.

I think there's more to this than what's been reported so far. Perhaps the cabbie knew who Kane was, and provoked him for some reason, perhaps to benefit monetarily.

The lawyer for the Buffalo cab driver who alleges Blackhawks star Patrick Kane was involved in a robbery and assault on him Sunday morning said the incident has been "blown out of proportion."
