Smoke newports and they scalp you on them here... Cheapest I found are $5 a pack where you can usually find marboro, camels, or whatever for less then $4 and often see them on sale or as buy one get one free, etc, etc.. I occasionally buy them at Indian smoke shops or Indian casinos but still are about forty a carton... I could buy them for $19 a carton (without tax) at the smoke shops when I started smoking... Almost enough to get you to quit, right?

$2100 a year at $6 a pop pack a day buying carton at carton price $1400 or so a year at pack a day $700 a year savings is nice if you must smoke but I agree quitting and having that back in your pocket would be nice

I have been a devotee of the MYO (make your own) cigarettes for the last five years. I buy a quarter pound of tobacco for $20 and a carton of ZigZag filter tubes for $3 and use an injector to slide the tobacco into the tubes. The tobacco is much fresher, I get exactly the amount of tightness I like in each smoke, and a carton only ends up costing me $23 for the finest Norwegian tobacco.

It takes me 7-8 minutes in the morning to make 16 smokes, which is what fits in my cigarette case. That's a dozen for me throughout the day and four to share and it works perfectly. I couldn't imagine any other way at this point.

dip;s dropped alot by us, used to always be 5.50 for a skoal tin now u can get it for like 4.89

I get a carton, Marlboro full flavor, which is something around $13 now, but I do that not to save money since each pack is $1.3, but I do it just to be sure I have enough smokes for the week.

Didn't loose tobacco for rolling have its price go up recently? I know new federal law means all hand made cigars have an extra $.50 tax on them.

Lucky Strikes and Viceroy (both non-filtered) ran about a buck for three packs when I first started smoking. Can't even remember what they were a pack when I quit six years, seven months, nine days and about 12 hours ago. Now spend $10 for three tins of Skoal pouches, and that lasts me about a week.

It's just slightly less than $6 for a pack fo Marlboro's around here. When I smoked pre-packaged ciagarettes I smoked Pall Mall 100s (Wherever Particular People Congregate

) and those went up from $3.50 to $4.80 with the tax increase.

Yeah, in fact loose tobacco endured by far the largest increase by volume in these latest tax hikes. Those tins with a quarter-pound of tobacco jumped from $13 to $20. It's still the best deal around, but the taxes are outrageous.

If anyone wants help getting started with MYP cigarettes, I'd be more than happy to go into greater detail and explain the various types of injectors along with the more popular brands of injectable tobacco.

Snus is awesome, it's steam-cured and goes in the upper lip, so you don't need to spit and can drink quite comfortably with it in. It's sold cold but doesn't have to be kept that way if you're going through a tin in a day or two.

A bit over $6 a pack for Marlboro here, little discount on cartons.

I switched to an online place in Kentucky, costs about $50 for two cartons of Seneca ( just like Marlboro), shipped.

Pretty soon this option will be gone.... the only shipper they can use is USPS priority mail, every other shipper has voluntarily stopped accepting cigs for shipment, post office will follow pretty soon. At time I will quit.
