    Indian Reservations and Sportsbetting
I am definitely not one who is on top of all of the laws concerning gambling, but I was just curious why Indian Reservations could not provide online sportsbetting. If they are allowed to have casinos, then what would be different about housing a sportsbook facility on the same land. I really havent' thought too much about this in detail so I'm sure many of you can tell me the numerous reasons why this would not work.

the tribes are still bound by us laws

For example, the Indian casinos in CA can not use dice in their games, because CA law only allows card based games.

As a result, craps in these casinos is played with cards ace - six.

They do have slots, but those are considers "video pull tabs". Pull tabs were common when the CA casinos only had bingo. It was like a lottery ticket and a fast food contest game piece combined. So, it was a card....so the slots are just a version of those

Sports also has its own issues. Only NV allows sports betting, becase no other state legalized it during a window of time that was allowed by a federal law. Once that federal law when into effect, all states that did not currently allow sports betting could NEVER allow it. That's why there are no books in AC..,.NJ didn't legalize it during the window that was allowing in that Federal law.

I'm too lazt to look up the specifics now, but Im sure there are other here who know tihs stuff by heart and can post without looking anything up

          You are wrong here

Sportsbetting is legal in four states Nevada,Delaware,Montana and Oregon.Outside of Nevada Oregon is the only state that currently has sportsbetting which is for the NFL only and is run by the state lottery.

Harrahs Rincon used dice for a long while but the Vegas Lobby $$ applied pressure in Sacramento

Any state that challenged the federal law against sportsbetting would win easily.
