the risk of an arm injury is pretty high in a real season.
you take away the normal flow of off season, spring training, slowly ramping up in April-May, I'm sure all sorts of injuries would be up in the beginning of any new season they start.
Many players will be thinking of their potential earnings for 2021-2035 and weighing the risk of losing those potential earnings for an asterisk fly by the cuff season.

Way off base here. Headline is misleading, have to read (and comprehend) the entire story. Owners/players had an agreement in principle in March, players get a prorated portion of their salary. Half season, half pay. Now the owners are trying to renege and want a 50/50 split, in essence half the season for 35% of your salary. Snell's not the only one, the whole player union is going to shut that down. As would you. Ain't none of you going to work half your hours for a third your pay.Comment -

From what I am hearing (FAR from official), no minor leagues, 30 man active roster (up from 25) and 50 man total roster (up from 40). And with no minors, the extra 20 guys would in essence be a taxi squad travelling with the team.
Also hearing there will be three divisions with the East, Central and West from each league consolidating, 82-game schedule and 14 playoff teams (I think MLB was going to 6 per league anyway so would only be two added playoff teams).Comment -
