Top 50 Posters of ALL-TIME as presented by MadCapper
Relatively new to these forums and I got permission by MadCapper to present this content to the board. I think it is a classic in the making.

Mods if we can't keep this link up just PZ the thread out of respect for the author

    #50 Choptalk

Atlanta's favorite son. One of the biggest homers in forum history. Claimed to be one of the best baseball cappers on the forums. Does well every so often. He usually goes on a business trip during one of his great runs, begging people to always start the "Where is Choptalk" threads? He didnt turn out to be as good as a poker player he thought he was. Is Choptalk his real name? A certain poster must have thought so. Chop has made plays at various forums to become a moderator or paid poster. Has he ever won a job? One of the great posters over the last decade! Kudos to the man from the Dirty South.

    #49 Jake Thompson

Jake started out back at the RX in the early 2000's as a young college kid from Idaho. His weekend drunken binges in his 25 dollar a month apartment in Boise always made me think back to my own college days. He was always the arrogant teenager who thought he was the greatest capper on the forums. I am pretty sure he even started his own tout service that lasted oh about about 24 hours. He continues, with no avail, to try to get his Fantasy Sports forums going. Jake is a relentless forum worker. I actually think he would make for a good employee in the real world if he ever left forumville. Always an energetic poster, Jake matured over the years. Although he's had a paying job in at least 6 different forums already, I don't think "The Kid" has ever really got the respect he deserves....Until now! Jake you have my respect buddy. Now have a ice cold Coors on me. You are finally legal!

    #48 Co-Captain

Aloha! The Lyin Hawaiin hits the list at #48. His 25 page writeups on College Hoops and Foots were a mainstay at the RX while he was allowed to post in the sports sections. Co-Captain fought hard for praise. Co-Capt was one of the first RX guys to have ALL his stuff banished in the Site Promo section. He also, later copied by DSethi, was the first to post his entire card RIGHT after the games started. People couldnt wait for his writeups on all the Hawaii games. His E-Cousin Timmy Chang/Tang was a cool guy too! Co-Capt got into many fights with fellow posters over his documented record. His email list must have 1000 guys already on it. Just ask him. His novels have all been published. Its a shame, because his writeups are probably the most detailed I have ever seen. He is also a pretty good handicapper. He should be applauded for his diligent and tedious efforts, instead he has always been mocked. But this stubborn Hawaiin has never backed down from an E-Argument! I am pretty sure he tried his hand at Covers too. Probably with the same non success. Co-Capt surfs off into the sunset at #48

    #47 Bostongambler

Another pretty big homer and a mainstay at MajorWager, he plays the part of Russ's bodyguard/advisor real well. Always heckling a newbie, this Bostonite has been a great poster for many many years. He doesn't post at many forums, but always seems to know whats going on around forumville. When I was asked to Mod at MW, Bostongambler laid into me. He made sure I and everyone else knew that things had to go through him first. Although he doesnt post many plays, he is a very good handicapper. One of the sharps over at MW. He doesnt start many threads, but he chimes in when he has to be heard. I hope Russ pays the man well because he's one of the most loyal posters out there and protects the big man as if he was one of his family. BG would probably be higher on the list if he didnt give me such a hard time over the years.

    #46 Kodiak

I know I will ruffle some feathers by putting Kodiak on this list. But he has to be there. One of the most hated posters in forum history, Kodiak found different ways to upset everyone. Whether it be posting imaginary 1 million unit plays, or using one of his 100 ghosts, or starting a service and telling people the money would go to the salvation army or some other charity while keeping it for himself, Kodiak knew how bring on the haters. One of the biggest homers of alltime...it seemed everyone of his top plays, actually every single one of his top plays were on Michigan teams. Has anyone ever found out why he starts everyone of his play threads with " Kodiak PLAY of the day" when he posts about 10 plays in side? Kodiak continues to try to get people to join his email list, but doesnt understand that you have to start hitting some of your plays to actually get people to follow you. Always the great fade, Kodiak, Koke, AXT, RAIDERS WENT 1-9-2 WEEK2, Raiders Mom, Ghoster, JAYHAWKS00, Rightway Sports, Dickhead lives on at #46.

    #45 bigboydan

Speak softly, carry a big stick is the motto that ( i assume) bbd lives by. A very solid handicapper an even better moderator and person, bbd cracks the list at 45. I started posting with Dan back in 2004 at peeps. We talked daily and as I got to know him I gained a great appreciation for all he does. He eventually ended up becoming a moderator at SBR. His knowledge of the industry has helped him work out many player disputes. I'm not quite sure why he is no longer at Peeps, but he ocassionaly copies and pastes some good info and entertaining threads at peeps. One of the classiest posters on these forums, I hope we will see more of Dan in the years to come! Maybe even here @ BC!

      #44 buffetgambler

buffet hit the forums with a bang in the middle of this decade. His writeups were brilliant. People adored him whether he won or lost. His writeups were legendary and after reading them you always felt he was on the right side. How many posters waited for buffetgambler to make plays before playing their own, or even bought off their own plays when they saw this stud capper on the other side? At first his plays didnt result in money, but as time went on he became one of the best baseball and football cappers out there. He was paid for a while, but soon left. Rumors started that he created his own tout service. His plays were found documented at another site at a terrible winning percentage. His backers argued that it was someone impersonating this capping god.Does anyone really know the truth? Posters still implore buffet to start posting on the open forums, but he hasnt made his godlike return yet. Maybe hes still searching for a permanent home. Well he has a permamnent home on this list at #44. Hopefully he makes his real return before foots!

      #43 Dogball

When I first found the RX, there were 2 dominant posters crushing bases in the baseball forum; Super Scout and a poster called Dogball. I swear for 4 months I followed his picks blindly. He was posting at a time when posters didnt even have to go to the general discussion forums. We just waited in the baseball forum for dogball to share his plays. After a little while, his ego got the best of him and Dogball tried his hand with a tout service. As most forum posters find out, touting aint easy. Dogball then disappeared for a long time from forumville, only to reappear claiming he was crushing books at an alarming pace. Is he trying to go tout once again? We hope not! When dogball was at his best he was posting his plays on a daily basis. Hopefully he gets back to what he was doing when I first found the sports forums. Until then he will reside at #43 on this list!

      #42 Blacklab

Blacklab became a mainstay at majorwager with his great hockey picks. His unique style attracted many posters. He was so good that a certain poster (or 2) gave him his account info and let him bet with his account. Blacklab lost a lot of money....A LOT of money! He claimed that they were partners or something and it was fair game. After that blacklab was hated by the masses. Considered a stiff and a scammer by most, Blacklab went into hiding only to re-emerge at the new EOG as Hockeyrob. Unfortunately, for hockeyrob, he wasnt the sharpest tool in the thread and used the EXACT same style as blacklab, and was outed asap. To make things worse, Hockeyrob denied these allegations and became a laughingstock. Ultimately, Hockeyrob became Blacklab once again, and when he started to share his Eurpoean, Asian, and Middle East hockey everyone started falling back in love with him. But, just as fast as Lab earned his respect back, he vanished from forums. Is he ghosting? I can only assume that Blacklab got in way way way too deep and is in hiding once again. Hopefully he makes a miraculous return to the forums (so I can get paid what he owes me) soon!

        #4
        #41 -Slim-

Slim has been a key cog at TheRx for over a decade now. He shares some of the most valuable line/'needs' information that can ever be found on these public forums. His knowledge of Costa Rican, Middle East, Bible Belt and Guam soccer is unmatched. If he was never paid, and even if he was, we should all consider ourselves lucky to have a poster like SLIM out there sharing info that he should probably keep to himself!

        #40 oldmanTED

If this was a poll of my top 50 posters over the last 2 years, there is no way in hell I would have OMT on the list. I stopped liking him and his style a few years back. I think the change took place right after he became, and then resigned as an RX mod. But before he became a mod at TheRx, omt was a tremendous poster. He was one of the most respected posters out there. He was a pretty good handicapper too for a while. But it was his class that helped him get the respect of his peers and ultimately lead to his 1st go around as Mod at the Rx. I know ted got into it with a few posters pretty strong...If I recall he had major feuds with OmniFrog. But who didnt? He is still a pretty good capper, and a solid poster. His glory days are far behind him. But TED did enough earlier in the decade to hit the list at #40.

        #39 IDENTITY

One of the most ANNOYING posters ever. Identity, NFL Expert, cracks the list at 39. We still dont know whether Identity is a guy or a girl. "IT" claims to be a girl, but "IT" has never met anyone or even spoken to anyone on these forums. Earlier in the decade ID was a pretty good poster. "IT" was a solid handicapper and started some gambling related threads. As the decade moved on "IT" went from semi irritating poster to rip your eyes out annoying. "IT" calls "ITSELF" an NFL Expert, yet "IT'S" never come close to a winning season in the NFL. "IT'S" 1st half, 1st Quarter, Full game plays on the same team and then swicthing off at the half are priceless. I dont think "IT" has won at any sport, yet "IT" continues to post like "IT" has a successful a proven track record. Hell, Adam Meyer is probably a better capper than ID. If "IT" only posted god awful plays, it wouldnt be that bad. But "IT" is the biggest nosybody I have ever seen. We call these people Yentas. "IT" has to know what color Ken's boxers are, what Mofome ate for breakfast, how many reps JMAN can do blindfolded, who the next mod is at every single site, every god damn day. If you are dumb enough to have ID find out your AIM or Yahoo messenger email, you will have found a stalker for life. Unfortunately, for everyone, ID will continue to do what shes been doing the last 5 years. Hey, but look at it from another angle, what would these forums be without "IT"?

          #5
          #38 Dsethi

Dsethi was on fire on these forums in the middle of this decade. He seemed to be one of the most intelligent and intellectual posters in forumville. Always opinionated, (and superior to the rest of us) this half of the brothers grim, was always heard. He never backed down from a fight and started many on his own. As the years went by, Dsethi became one of the best cappers at TheRx. He was doing great in MLB and even better with CBB. It looked like Dsethi was on the fast track to forumville HOF status. The shit started to hit the fan when Dsethi stopped posting his plays because he started his own tout service. Oh he had a superb first year in CBB with his HUMONGOUS favorites parlays, and he claimed to have many forum suscribers. I seriously doubt that. Anyway, his baseball plays were pathetic, that he even went out and either gave refunds or gave discounts for his CBB package. The shit REALLY hit the fan and splattered all over his face when word came out that Dsethi was stiffing/slowpaying on a credit debt. The once outspoken, higher than thou, loudmouth suddenly disappeared from the forum world (taking his brother, Skinsraj with him). Well one of the brothers has returned to the forums on this list at 38. Hopefully, Dsethi will return for good after paying back his debt and get back to the things that almost made him a forum legend!

          #37 trytrytry

One of the classiest and most respected posters on any forum he posts at, T3 hits the list at 37. trytrytry is one of the best best best handicappers around. There is no doubt in my mind that he crushes any book he uses. Rumor has it that his limits have been cut or hes been kicked out of at least 5 different books. He routinely beats the line movement as well. Although he's a terrific handicapper, T3 has attained his forum fame by being considered one of the, if not the very best, forum contest players. The man is absolute money in these contests. At first T3 was a very quiet poster who tried to stay out of the limelight. But, recently, he has become more outspoken regarding the things he believes in. A true professional and a great guy all around, trytrytry is the epitome of a great great great poster!

          #36 Hacheman

Hache was a posting machine for a long time until he finally got a gig as a paid poster/moderator at EOG. It took a while, but it was long overdue. Just like trytrytry, Hache was one of the most respected, but underappreciated posters for too long a time. As a regular poster Hache did some very nice things for the forums. He always volunteered to help with contest gradings. The thing I remember non paid Hache for was his personal contests where he gave away cool baseball and basketball cards. I wish he kept doing that! Hache has also proven to be a very good basketball capper. Hache finally got his job at EOG and lasted there for a little while, until the downsizing took place. He, obviously, got right back on his feet and is back to doing what he does best across the street.

              #35 Bucsfan67

Bucsfan got his big break during the McIrish regime over at TheRx back in 2003. I started a contest and asked Bucsfan to help grade it, and when I got married that Summer, Bucs graded the big baseball contest by himself. That got his foot in the door, and McIrish hired him as a moderator at TheRx. He's been a paid poster/mod ever since. A pretty trigger-happy moderator, Bucs earns his keep grading contests, getting books to sponsor contests, and by posting his baseball plays. After one dynamite season of baseball capping, Bucsfan got the attention of the masses. Shrink had sold Rx and started EOG, and figured it would be a great marketing ploy to bring Bucsfan over as a free agent to post his baseball plays. Posters waited and waited on Bucsfan to post his baseball plays, but Bucsfan insisted, probably at the behest of someone else, to post his card about 45 minutes before gametime. Unfortunately, just as many other posters, when they get into the limelight the fold like a 2 dollar bill. He had a pretty bad baseball season. Somehow he was able to remain on staff, despite his very very short hours of online time. At one point he was on EOG for maybe 3 hrs a day. He still found time to move some threads, start some contests, grade a few, and post his baseball plays. When the downsizing began, Bucs was one of the first to be let go. It's not 100% known whether he resigned or was let go. Either way, his 1 fabulous baseball season, has stuck to him and he landed another job back at TheRx. I'm still not sure, but there were a few rumors about something going down with Bucsfan and his roomate at one of the Rx bashes in the beginning of the decade. Needless to say Bucs has bounced back. Although we have never seen eye to eye, I can respect where he's coming from and how hard he tries. Kudos, Bucs! You have proven to be a classy guy!

              35. Dell Dude

Mr. Suicide Parlay. Dell Dude has been claiming to get killed by books for over a decade now. He is famous for using NETeller and E-Checks to make suicide deposits (with no money left in his bank accounts) in hope of hitting the big parlay. I recall a story where banks wanted t turn him in or something, but he claimed to sweet talk his way out of it. I don't think he's hit one of his famous suicide parlays yet. I'm not even sure he's a real person. Earlier in the decade he stuck to his parlays, but lately hes become a mudslinger. A mainstay at Peeps, Dell Dude is a legend....in his own mind....and I guess mine as well.

                                        34. GreenDoberman

Once again one of the most respected posters hits the list. Although it may be an oxy-moron, GD is definately Mr. American Idol. His American Idol commentary and analysis threads have become legendary over the years. His AI thread over at EOG this year amassed over 44 thousand views. One of the most well rounded posters on these forums, Doberman can add to any topic. Was once a prolific poster at one of the forums, but some say he left because he couldnt stand 1 of the posters/mods. He made the rounds, posting at different forums, and thought to have refound his new permanent home at EOG, but is now back doing his thing primarily at the RX again. A pretty good capper too, you can find an occassional GD soccer pick if you search the forums. Whether it be handiapping sports or AI, or just shooting the shit, you wont be wasting your time when you open a GreenDoberman thread.

                                                  #33 The Devil

Was The Devil the founder of Major Wager? I'm not 100% sure. But, I think he sold his share to Russ Hawkins. He then really disappeared from the forum limelight for a while. He re-emered when EOG opened as a paid poster for The Shrink. The Devil is a very wise person. I met him once and the stories he had, whether from the bookie side, the player side, or forum owner side were truly amazing. I will never forget the conversation we had almost 5 years ago. He is truly a fountain of knowledge, willing to teach anyone who is interested in learning the gambling ropes. Unfortunately, he is a Mets fan. Freddie has also made numerous attempts at starting poker sites. But with todays gambling market, he has yet to come through. I still am very confident that he will. Recently, The Devil and his family have had to live through and terrible tragedy. My blessings and prayers are with Freddie and his family. May we, one day, only share in happy times together!

I am pretty sure Terry caught his big break at Major Wager near the start of the decade. When I got a job at MW back in 2004, Terry was the man we all went to for any computer related problems. he was the tech guy. People from all forums came to him when they had PC troubles. And we also found out that the man LOVES to drink! Some scandalous pictures of Kenny and TTinCo arose. People began to wonder what was with this new dynamic duo? Sure enough, a couple of years later, TT caught an even bigger break when he became a big moderator at TheRx. TT made it his business to catch all ghosts, scammers, stiffs, and pedophiles. When he found you he let the world know and he followed you around like a little schoolgirl. The man dogged me everywhere I went and I only owed a couple hundy at the time. He followed me to whichever site I posted at. It also seemed at around that time or a little later he started or became involved in some other aspects of the forums world. Do people still owe the man money? Is it legit? Does he owe people money? Only TT knows. When TT is going right he can be a great poster. He's become a more quiet person over the years. Maybe he's doing whats safest for him now. Either way, TT is one of the best!

This name probably shocked a lot of people. But Munson15 is a damn good poster. He goes under the a'll class, must respect, pay attention to what he says', category. Munson burst on the scene just a few years ago, but he's as well known as some of the oldtimers already. Hell he's an oldtimer..oldschool. He is a sports history buff. He's also a good capper, even though he hardly posts his plays. He was chosen to be one captain for the EOG handicapping challenge. His team ended up losing. I guess he figured he might as well lose because he knew the winners weren't gonna be paid anyway...shrewd man, Munson! Anyway, munson will continue to climb these charts if he doesnt get fed up with some of the stuff around him.

Clev, a pretty big homer herself, has been busting peoples chops for a long time. If you dont have any secrets and remain straight, then she is a great poster to befriend. But do not cross this woman or you will most definately regret it! She may be the poster that is really most feared. I assume she is near the top of the MajorWager payroll, because she has had The Major's back for a very long time now. Maybe one of these days one of her teams will win something? Maybe that will put her in a good mood, finally?
