Enough of the fake news and fear-mongering, it's time for baseball.

It's not happening. Once the union rejected the Arz plan that was the end.
Owners better off w no payroll liability. Cannot make profit this season now.
Best thing NBA can do is renegotiate its CBA, do a July playoff tournament, then start next season Xmas eve!

Nope the players union rejected it.
Dumbest thing ever
Could have played 3 games a day from 11am to 8pm for multiple teams, had exclusive advertising and captive home bound audience and States could have profited from betting.
Its was a great plan B...more reason for owners to lock out players and break this union.

NBA would seem to have the easiest path to come back IMO so I doubt before that

They have the hardest actually.
All the NBA contracts expire 6/30
It would only take 1 lawsuit to shut it all down. Say you're a FA on a shit team, you sue for injunction to stop this to avoid injury....the injunction (even if temporary) shuts the whole league for 2 weeks min.

Didn't know the 'Arizona Plan" was rejected.
Looks as though we'll have to wait until June.

they cant even figure out Tennis and Golf, the two easiest to bring back.....NHL and NBA need to cancel as they start the new season in October anyway
Golf in June without fans is all we might have for awhile

Because it's a self funded sport.
Without attendance at challenger tournaments or a purse at larger touneys there are only a handful of players that could actually afford to compete.
The top 25 guys probably ok, but any chick outside the top 10 doesnt have enough money to make the circuit viable or competitive.

July 1 at the latest for MLB.
New virus cases will drop off a cliff in the next 2-3 weeks for the same reason why the flu isn't prevalent from May til September.

Baseball commissioner Manfred has given MLB teams permission to start laying off office personnel starting May 1.
MLB and its players’ union made a deal in March that stipulated how the collective bargaining agreement would be altered to adjust for the fact that the 2020 season was being indefinitely postponed. The reality is not that simple.
