Without a vaccine (not even considering the logistics of getting everyone vaccinated, but the folks who refuse), you're absolutely right about consumers responding.

Some will take their chances and continue like normal. Others will adopt the mask/glove look. But a percentage are going to see things like restaurants, arenas, basically any crowd gathering as a potential threat. Door dash, uber eats, amazon, grocery delivery. Trump's in a really tough spot. If he waits too long to open the country back up, then the economy will still be in the tank and he probably hurts his chances getting re-elected. But if he opens it up too soon, then virus could break out again and people will lose confidence which could really hurt his chances. He has quite the dilemma

the virus is the same. It won't be done until we have a vaccine or much higher % than currently has had it, gets it and resolves


We are bringing death totals down each day, due to behaviors we took 3-4 weeks ago.

The virus is moving from the high density populations to lower density populations. But there will be side effects as the industries that reside in the lower density areas that supply the NYC's, Detroits, Chicagos, ect. Are now going to be hit hard.

Plateau is prob now.... it seems there is a reporting lag on deaths over weekends. So what we hear on Tuesday is deaths that were certified and made offical that occured on Friday or saturday depending on the area, I think...

i'm actually hoping there is no plateua and we just see us steadily going down the mountain. But i'm sure we'll see an uptick as we loosen up and rural areas get hit.

i'm not so much worried about sheer body counts.

700 dead in NYC is alarming, but it has little effect on my life.

but 25 dead in Sioux Falls South Dakota can keep food out of our grocery stores.

that scenario will be played over in bigger-ish cities in rural states that have key functions in our economy that we don't think about.
