    I like this plan.

Hawks CEO Steve Koonin said moving the start of the NBA season from mid-October to mid-December would help ratings because the league would avoid two months of competition with the NFL's regular season.

Well WNBA would be ****** if that happened. Seems like a cowardly strategy. Almost all basketball leagues start in the Autumn. Only cowards run from a fight!

IMO they need to widen the mid-season break to begin in the new year and finish late Feb. That's enough time to put in divisional 1 & done style tournaments. People ask what is the motivation to win a mid-season tournament? Well what is the motivation to win a regular season game? You get a trophy for winning a tournament -that worth a lot more than a half game increment in the W/L column.

I've always been of the same opinion.

The only problem is if these prima donnas would be willing to give up 2 summer months next to their pool to do what is best for the league.
