Seriously, what does no value mean?
**** that shiet CrazyLou. Ivanovic is gonna get waxed by stosur. You told me no value in Tommy Haas? If i think he's gonna win then he gonna win. People that says "no value" are using that as an excuse. If it hits then of course it's value. Dac is a raging bull. Bank Tommy Haas -165...

Well, I certainly never intended to dissuade you from placing a bet on a match that you like, however you asked my opinion on the game and I gave you it. Bet it if you want to, but there's not an iota of value on Tommy Haas in this match at -165.

No value means the potential return when wagering to win a unit, dosent outweigh the risks involved. for instance betting a -5000 favorite. most people would say that team will win no doubt but there's no value in the bet. since your return is so small and too much risk involved. On the flip side when taking a underdog, there would be no value if the + odds given dont directly correlate to the % of times you feel this outcome will occur. Therefore, no value.

No. That's not how gambling works.

For me, VALUE means long term expectancy on a wager. If you give someone a 45% chance of winning, then he has value at +150. If you make that same bet 100 times and go 45-55 at +150, you will be very happy.

good call on the bet.. but that does not mean there was value... not saying there wasn't.. read above for a better understanding..

Lou, your first day back isn't going very well. Are you losing on purpose? I know! You're trying to lull us all into a sense of complacency!

Precisely. That is what value means.

you'll go broke very quickly backing winners at every price, just like if you pay $500k for a house worth $300k. Every bet has its price.. the problem is, it's all subjective, so one person's value is poor value to another punter. But the whole reason books win is because of people who will take any price.

The fact it won has absolutely nothing to do with value - you can only determine that beforehand and on your own criteria.
