So I don't expect any lower price solution and the solutions that do arise will be SO MUCH more risky to the player and the book.

Antigua and their stand against the US might be only good hope for a comprehensive solution, but then all the US has to do is isolate Antigua banking and that could be over quick too.

I hope their is a good solution, but I have a feeling will get so bad and then maybe long after will get better.
      Great post Laker.

Im feeling the same way right about now, Im taking my offshore bankroll and bringing it home. I will just bet locally and see how everything goes in the upcoming months and maybe years. I hope it gets better sooner then later, because betting from home spoiled me.

        That's pretty funny.

The blame for these things going underground obviously falls square on the shoulders of the US government.

I'm much more positive about online gambling than some others in this thread. We don't really need Neteller. As long as the money is in the books, we can bet. For withdrawals a check isn't all that bad. I would like to see the top books improve the book-to-book transfer system. That could make things real smooth. And debit/ATM cards would be a good step. SBR debit card, anyone?

Sorry Dark, wont be any SBR debit cards ever floating around.

As far as the Ricky funny goes, we try to stay in our field. We know a heck of a lot about sportsbooks but we are not the industry pulse about transfer companies, insight on US laws and so on.

I just signed up for MyCitadel. Here are my very early impressions:

I called three times with questions while I was going through the process of creating my account online. Customer service was mixed. It’s 24 hours, which is good, and each time I called there was virtually no wait time.

The first call I got someone who could barely speak English and seemed in over her head. She had to keep passing my questions on to others and then repeating their responses to me. The longer we spoke the more confused I got.

The second and third were both fine. There are still certain aspects that confuse me—mostly the logic behind the limits—but at least they got me to where I understood the process reasonably well.

One of the most important things to be aware of (which the first girl never mentioned to me, though it would have been directly relevant to much of what I asked her) is that they’ll provide you with a device free to plug into your computer that you can use to swipe debit or credit cards.

The main reason this matters is it has a dramatic effect on your limits. The daily limits on transactions are as follows:

From MyCitadel to your bank, not using the card swiper: $10,000
From your bank to MyCitadel, not using the card swiper: $300 (goes up a bit the longer you have an account in good standing, but remains ridiculously low)

From MyCitadel to your bank, using the card swiper: Not applicable
From your bank to MyCitadel, using the card swiper: $10,000

So just by getting that device, you raise your deposit limit from $300 to $10,000.

All these transactions between MyCitadel and your bank account, with or without the card swiper, are free, just like Neteller. If you don’t use the card swiper, the transactions take about the same number of days as Neteller (though like Neteller, they do have a provision in an emergency to do same day deposits, for a hefty fee). However, if you use the card swiper to deposit, it is instantaneous. So that’s another advantage of it.

They do not have an ATM card, so in that sense are not as good as Neteller.

Anyway, I’m trying my first ever transaction with them to see if I know what I’m doing. I called Legendz and they said even though my deposits have been by Neteller, I’m allowed to use their other methods for payouts if I want, so I put in for a MyCitadel withdrawal, which is supposed to be processed during business hours tomorrow. (Incidentally, both Legends and all three people I spoke to at MyCitadel claimed to be completely unaware there had been any big news about Neteller in the last 24 hours. I said to the one lady at MyCitadel, “I’ll bet you’ve had a lot more business than usual today, with all the frantic people trying to find an alternative to Neteller.” She said, “No, I’d say we’ve had a very ordinary number of calls today. This is the first I’ve heard anything about Neteller all day.”)

I’ll report on how it goes. Curious about other people’s feedback on MyCitadel and to what extent it is or isn’t a plausible replacement for Neteller.

Anyone think Bodog offers up the next neteller?

I tend to think Calvin doesnt really have much to lose. They cant arrest him in CR - god knows they would like to...

Bodog stops taking neteller today. Don't be surprised if the next thing you know they are offering a transfer service...

                  Amen.

That's my mantra, brother -- until the dark day when they all throw in the towel on the US market.

We have no choice to believe and hope that at least a couple of them are smart enough in their affairs, and courageous enough in their hearts, to stay open to us until we get to the other side of whatever in the name of God this is, exactly.
