The Red Sox wont make the playoffs.
After watching events unfold this past few weeks it is plainly obvious the sox dont have the hitting to get into the playoffs. The Yankees or Rays will win the division and the wild card. Sorry Boston fans better luck next year.

What I have seen over the last few weeks is Yankee fans getting excited about beating up on bad teams and than losing to good teams. This thread is once again indicitive of that. After the Red Sox take 3 out of 4 against the Yankees this weekend, the world will get back on balance, and the Yankee fans can keep quiet about winning the AL East again. Until the Yankees beat up on a GOOD team, I doubt they go anywhere. The Rays...please..lol. They will not even be a factor at the end. They will be a good 7 games out of the wild card when all is said and done.Comment -

Having said that, DREW, BAY, VARITEK, and GREEN are not going to provide much run support if they keep hitting the way they have the last month.
Right now, the Red Sox are still a favorite to make the playoffs..........and let's not forget, they are 8-0 vs. the Yankees this season. If the Yanks lose to them tonight with Jaba facing Smoltz, they may not beat them all season.
