Anyone been to KINNICK STADUIM?

If you have never been to KINNICK Staduim in Iowa City, your missing a tremendous venue........one of the most underrated venues in the country.

If Iowa starts the season 3-0, my plans are to catch the night game in Iowa City in week six when the Hawkeyes host Michigan in a prime time night game at Kinnick under the lights.

yeah we went i guess 4 years ago during my freshamn year to see illinois play em, it was unreal. got there lik midnite, went to bars as underage, first real bar scene i had at the time in college, WILD AS HELL, chicks are SMOKING. we got back at like 3 then up at 6 to go tailgate at buddies frat i was so gone by kickoff, TONS OF FUN THOUGH, great time, just wish jason reda didnt miss 3 fg's, 1 pat, and have anther one blocked cause with that 13 points porbably coulda won lol

it was also the nite/week after when iowa state kids or someone broke in and sprayed a big IS or something at mid field, i remeber cause between the 40s the sod was all wereid colored cause it was re painted lol

you gotta check out new memeorial stadium in chanpaign, REAL NICE, but i'd still crown ohio state with the best big 10 stadium, the shoe is AWESOME in person

Well, I am glad to see Iowa plays a 1-A team this year on its non-conference schedule. Although they did throw in Northern Iowa and Arkansas State (Sun Belt) to go with Arizona. No reason Iowa shouldn't be 3-0.

Outside of Ohio State, I never understood why Big 10 team play such weak-ass non-conference schedules.

These are Iowa's non-conference opps the last three years: Montana, Syracuse, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Maine, FIU, and Pitt.

Penn State is worse though. Coastal Carolina, Akron, Syracuse, Temple, FIU, Buffalo, Youngstown State---they did manage Oregon State. Yawn.

At least Ohio State has scheduled Texas, and has USC this year. That is better than anything Penn State has.

Arizona is a "very good team"?

By whose definition?

They won more than 8 games ONCE in the last decade.

Stoops is 25-34 at Arizona.

Arizona has LOST to New Mexico the last 2 years.

They have the fewest returning starters of any Pac-10 team, they are breaking in a new QB who will be playing his first road game AT IOWA.

They have one returning offensive lineman (Blake Kerley) and the highest I have seem them ranked in the Pac-10 is among the top 5 or so by Phil Steele. Steele also has them ranked 40th.

If this is a "very good team", what is say....a top 15 team?

I didn't go to the game but was there many years ago when they had a hooligan riot in the parking lot.They used to have beer trucks selling tappers in the lot at an affordable price or giving them away as a promotion and after that they quit the practice.

Stayed in Iowa City on Saturday night in the fall a few years ago while driving across country. Great college town, great atmosphere with the football team. Some good bars and some good looking farm girls.

Wow, impressed with your knowledge on Phil Steele.

OTW, the Hawks are my favorite team and I spend more time on Hawkeye forums then here, so you can imagine my love for the team.

I'm not saying they will not win their first three games, just saying they will not cover.

However, they could indeed lose one or two of these affairs if they are not focused.

Iowa has a very talented team this year........tremendous athletes at an array of positions.

Their offensive line is ranked #1 in the Big Ten and #6 in the country..............and their overall defensive unit is ranked #8th in the entire country by Steele.

ONTHEWHAT---I think you bet the dog in Iowa's first three games you go 2-1 at worst.
