Virus is less deadly than the flu and flu hits each and every year. Flu infects millions every year and kills between 10 and 60 thousand people yearly. Markets don't crash when the flu hits. The only people that die from Corona are elderly and sick people. Most infected adults feel fine and have symptoms not worse than a cold. Some are a bit worse but recover completely after a week or 10 days at most. Why is this crashing the market and getting everyone into panic mode? I really don't get it. Can someone explain?

At some point there does have to be a population thinning but I'm not convinced this virus is it. I do see a cure on the horizon soon especially if it gets serious and REALLY out of control..

We as a human race have always been able to kill off virus's like this through vacin/meds.. Aids virus took a while though but that's on the brink of total cure rate now.. I don't see Corona on the deadliest list yet. It's gradually getting there though..

Flu is a known disease that mutates into different strains. Some strains are more dangerous than others. This virus is new, and it may be a weak version of what it will mutate into. This variant of this new disease is killing about 2% of those it infects. By next year a new variant could be immune to whatever treatment we've developed for this variant, and it could kill 5%. The panic isn't about the situation now. It's about what the situation could be in 12 or 18 months time.
