I've always been a big Bobby Knight fan. Read his biography. There are so many players out there that are thankful for his guidance. Coach was successful and had great graduation rates.

I respect everyone's views, but in his day and from where coach Knight came from, vietnam era at a military academy, he did what he knew...

Everyone has the will to win, but it's the will to prepare to win.

Straight out of a combat book. Coach Knight used what he knew to make boys into men. No coach ever could take the average talent he had and win like he did.

This is the way it used to be in our history. And Most all of his players respect the hell out of him.

Those Bob Knight shows were must see TV on Sundays at Noon on WTTV Channel 4 especially after a IU loss. The host Chuck Marlowe took a lot of shit and abuse. If you want a good laugh..google his show when he brought a donkey on the set making fun of Purdue and their then current AD George King.

PS I think Gene Keady will be in attendance today too. He was at the Pacer game last night.

Still skeptical about him showing back up. It was strange this week that The General and his son Pat visited an Indiana State Sycamore practice in Terre Haute (about an hour from Bloomington) this week.

Love R.M.K., but hate the fact he couldn't adapt to the changing CBB and student athlete landscape.

It will be interesting to see the fan reaction if he does show. The old timers will give him a standing ovation for sure but the politically correct student section..who knows? Especially the students who know his past.

My take on Bob Knight is for every Neil Reed (which was over the top physical abuse no doubt which couldn't be tolerated) you'll find 99 of his former players who loved him and sing his praise. Bob Knight was never PC and his players knew that going in. It took a mentally strong player to survive at IU and those that did loved him and still to this day sing his praises. Snowflakes need not apply to IU in the Bobby Knight era.
