I really like this new system that SBR is running. I came up w/ a few ideas to improve such as MAX UNIT LIMIT. Right now, the betting range for us is from 1-5 units on any game, but since there is no limit on units, we both are doing 5 units each game. So it's just a capping contest.
If there was a limit on how many units could be picked for example 275, then there would be a lot of strategy as well as good picking. We both must choose 90 plays times 5 units is 450 units. So cutting it down to 275, makes you only pick maybe 25-30 games at 5 units, everything else would be 1,2,3 or 4 with only a few games being 5 units.
I hope they add that to the contest part.
Another thing I love.....is the fact that you CANNOT view your opponents picks until the game is being played. Example, today, I pick the Cardinals at 12:10. If Illini looks at my pending picks, all it will say is game at 12:10. Meaning he knows I picks that game, but doesn't know if I picked a side/total or w-e. This is good towards the end of the contest. So the other person won't make the same plays as the other just so he can win.
This is Illini's pending plays right now....as you can see, you don't know who he is picking, just the times they are playing.
Scoring is still up and down. Right now, the program is working, scoring correctly after each game, but at times there is a clitch here or there, but overall, it's good.
A final thing which is nice, is that game locks once you choose the game. I pick TEAM A and pick it right now. 2 hours later, I decide I like TEAM B. Not only can NOT cancel the bet, but I can't go ahead and choose TEAM B as well, just to lower losses. Once you bet it, it's OFFICIAL.
The new contest format is GREAT and can only be better as more people play it and have more ideas.
Like I said SBR and Mods, I think a UNIT Max should be put in, other than that, it's running smoothly and thanks for this.

Scoring/Grading question.
I notice that when playing a fav and risking 5 units, if you win you win based on betting 5, not 5 units (example Team A -150, you would be risking 5 to win 3.75, so if you win, you win 3.75 and you lose you lose 5.0)
I think some of the grading on the first day is was based on units, Sammy bet 3 on KC -135 (4.05 to win 3) so he won 3 on that wager.
Is this a scoring glitch, or was the scoring changed during the contest????

So I bet to win 3. I won and won 3 units. Every other game for both of us have been risking 5 units. That's the maximum bet you can make is 5 units. Not to win, but RISKING 5 units.
Team A at -200....RISKING 5 to win 2.5, you win, you win 2.5, you lose you lose 5.
TEAM B at +200 RISKING 5 to win 10, you win, you win 10, you lose, you lose 10.
I think you understand that, but I don't see where the glitch is.

On your first bet, you bet 3 units, so you have Tampa -135 (4.05 to win 3.0), you won and won 3.0 units
Also on the first day, you have the tigers -260 for 5 units (5.00 to 1.92), you won and won 1.92 units. If this was graded the same as the first bet, shouldn't it have been (13.00 to win 5.0)
so your first bet was "based" on units, where as the second one wasn't.Comment -
MAX RISK is 5 UNITS....that's the most you can risk.
At first, I thought there would be max unit limit, that's why I bet to win 3 units which would be risking 4.05 still less than 5. but then after learning there's no max limit rule, I just bet 5 units each game. BUT, THERE's A LIMIT ON MAX BET, it's 5 UNITS.
Not to win 5, but risking 5 units.
The first bet was to win 3 or risking 4.05 either way you look at it. Every other bet is RISKING 5. if you try and bet more, it will say error or you cannot makr that bet..max bet is 5.Comment
