#947Originally posted by iconThe difference between what?
Maybe so but what I've noticed is that people love to pile on shari no matter what she says. I think most of it is anger from previous events and has little to do with what she has said today.
The main point is that grown men here can't handle a difference of opinion, it gets to them that someone doesn't share the same beliefs regarding a dead ex athlete.
Guys on tilt because of messages on an internet forum. Its WEAK!Comment -

Sure Kobe's spirit is distraught over his fkn daughter is dead.
She had no bearing on Mamba s actions
There must be some major momma's boys or senators sons on the board to understand otherwise.
Kobe Bryant is dead. So are all of your idols.
His daughter is dead too and you re all talking about who he fked.

Kobes death is not important in the grand scheme of things. Its just another story.
Do you know how many people died around the world today? Plenty, and their deaths are no more or less important than Bryants. The only difference is that people here have seen Kobe on tv many times over the years while everyone else that died were unknown so they attach importance to the death of a celebrity. Meh.Comment -

What he might have or did do is completely wrong as a father of a young woman but today isn't the time or place to bring that situation up.
Young girls shouldnt die. None. Kobe's daughter is the only one I'm mourning .
I think Shari was voicing victims of rape.

#959It's tragic when kids die, is it more tragic than anyone else? I'm not going to say that.
Is it different for me? It seems so.
It's tough to explain but I've heard it echoed in the media a few times today, some seem to point it out and offer it as the only explanation for why they feel what they feel.
Before pointing to the specific tragedy of the kids, they always start with "As a father..." And let me tell you, that may be the only explanation there is or is needed.
For some reason, as a father, the tragedy of the children just feels a little different. A little special.
It goes for any story of any tragic death of children, not just someone that makes the news.
It is what it is.Comment -

#960Originally posted by allabout the $$$Forget kobe dying these young women died today and as a parent its heartbreaking. Kobe's daughter or not these young women died who didn't even begin to live their lives. Peoples sister are gone. Vanessa's daughter and husband are gone. Famous or not as a parent I feel for people. Rich poor famous or not. There was an autistic child who just died in Suffolk county ny by a scumbag dad and I feel for that child just as I do Kobe's daughter.
We are all going to end up dead. 50 years from now its likely most here now will be dead, and 50 years is less than the blink of an eye in terms of eternity.
And noone here has posted anything negative about the children that died. I am only referring to Kobe.Comment -

#972Lack of empathy is a problem in life fellas, it's called being selfish and self centered, it's all about you and only you.. That's not a good quality to have in life.
Still I use to listen to this song below growing up for longest time and think along those lines a bit but not today...
Positivity and belief in life does some how keep you safe in life I believe. It did for me. Believe nothing bad ever happens to you and chances are nothing bad will..

You don’t have to lose a child to feel this way. When you have a child it becomes your worst nightmare. And this nightmare is 1000x worse than any you had before. Just the fear of this happening will make you think this way.Comment
