This time, Musbruger took it to new heights by referencing a tout/gambler.

Couldn't stop laughing at this one.

worked out real well. I took over 24 (+104) at halftime with the score 16-7=23....they scored 25 points for a total of 48 so I won both sides of that bet.

I needed a good day yesterday had a lot of bad days past couple weekends.

I'm old enough to remember the CBS football show that had Musburger, Jimmy the Greek and someone else (I think it was a woman) on it. The Greek would make picks each week. One time, off camera, Greek and Musburger got into an argument and it escalated into a fight. The Greek won the fight, which was surprising as he was significantly older than Brent and not in what appeared to be anything close to good shape. It wasn't a one punch KO or anything, but I guess it was quite one-sided in the Greek's favor. Word got out and it hit the newswire. The next week they made light of it on the show with Musburger and Greek wearing boxing gloves and acting like they were going to square off.

Prior to that, perhaps Musburger's most infamous CBS-related moment occurred when he and then NFL Today partner, Jimmy "the Greek" Snyder got into a fistfight at a New York City nightclub over their air time and who gets to do what.

When I Googled the two names I also found a Brent Musburger drinking game. The rules begin with this warning:

Play at your own risk. It is conceivable your whole party will be passed out with 8 mins remaining in the 1st quarter.

Among the things Brent says that cause you to drink are "pardner", "folks", "it's a foot race", "Gary, my man" and "Jack Arute". This game is explained in someone's blog and one person replied with this:

I'm disappointed that there isn't a rule for when Musburger mentions the point spread. This is my favorite point of the game. (Usually before the kickoff.)
