It wasn't so long ago that if Vegas posted a 220 total on an NBA game, it meant that they expected an exceptionally high scoring affair, most likely between two of the league's top flight offenses... Anymore that is considered to be on the low side of average. Pretty crazy.

I was an incredible NBA fan growing up. Lived and breathed it. Went to tons of games.

So many reasons the game has changed for the worse from my older perspective.

Going to a game now is like going to a circus. It has become way overpriced for the average "JOE". Music blaring, cheerleaders, all sorts of crap during every time-out. Not a pleasant experience at all.

For the most part, NOBODY really gives a shit about the regular season. We as fans don`t care if the season doesn`t end in a chip. Media as well. The 73 win GSW proved it. Sure, even in the 80`s good teams cruised a bit before playing clampdown in the 4th Q. But what we were watching was true competition. Teams and players not wanting to give an inch. Today it is like one big Fraternity.

If anyone thinks HARDEN dribbling 1000 times a game and flailing into his defender to get a foul is basketball, there is no hope for you.

Playoffs only for me.

there is no gameplan or attack like in the old days. i miss the 90's days of the knicks battling the heat or the bulls on a sunday afternoon and you were lucky the scores were in the 80's.

Teams played hard punishing defense back in the 80's and 90's. No layups, physical play, you tried to drive down the lane and dunk you typically got put on your ass.

Today you breath the wrong way on another player and it's a flagrant 2.

Miss those hard hits of the past and real hate between teams back in the day.. Today's teams just hug before games and after and love each other WAY to much for my liking.. League got soft!!!
