Anyone here place wagers on Golf?!

I was just curious to find out if there are any people on the forum that place wagers on PGA Events? I am a huge golfer and watch PGA Tour events religiously... I don't bet on every tournament, but last year I hit 5 winners out of 12 events that I bet on... I have seen some people that like to place a bet on 2 or 3 players that they really like, but I just like to stick with one player...

Last week I hit Vijay Singh in the Mercedes Championships... I read a bunch of articles on how hard he had trained and worked on his swing in the off-season... He had never won the event, but had come close several times... I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls the back-to-back wins this week @ the Sony Open... I'm thinking about placing another wager on him... Does anyone bet on golf? I have seen some posts about Tennis, but not really any about golf... If there are any people on here that wager on golf, I would love to hear your thoughts and feelings on betting tournaments...

I've heard that golf is one of the fastest growing sports for betting as well as auto racing but both these sports are very tough to cap. I bet on golf on occasion. I bet on the Ryder's Cup and the majors. I don't think you're going to find anyone who bets on golf week in and week out.

tchocky, thanks for the response bud... I love betting on Nascar as well... There are certain tracks that certain drivers seem to own these days and are usually worth a bet when on that particular track! I usually like to bet my favorite driver to win and place in the top 3! What are your strategies for nascar?

I have bet on VJ before. Yea, he's a great player. Except I jinx his azz bad I guess. I've never cashed on him.

Golf is a great value bet IF Tiger is playing because he is sooo chalky he fattens up the payoffs on the field. Of course, he smokes the field too at times.

Peyton-2Marvin, I just posted an article on this week's Sony Open by Brian Gabrielle. He seems to follow golf pretty well and divides his bets up on an individual tournament among several players, usually taking a couple of favorites and a longshot or two. I don't bet on NASCAR because I don't watch. I usually don't bet on things I don't watch.
