Should have 4-6 CC's at all times. If you max them all out pull a Brock Landers and leave the country for a bit.

Terrible lesson to be teaching around here, you know most people don't have the discipline to pay it off in full every month. Sammy I'm surprised at you, you're better than this. You can't just pretend to pack up and move to Florida like JJ does vs the CC Companies either.
Again, spot on. I haven't paid cc debt for 30 years. Collect interest, don't pay it.

                        Not so sure here.

You don't really HAVE to pay interest if you pay it down. In fact, buying using it gain good credit, you are more likely to put yourself in a position to really collect some interest, depending on what you like, (ie real estate.)

Also, if I can borrow at one rate but get a better return elsewhere...well, you do the math.

I have cash to pay my cc debt every month. Why not take their 2-5% bump.

Well, the truth in everything is "I can get a better return elsewhere". When you can teach me to out return cc interest I'm all ears.

Cash is King. You can't pay cash? You can't afford it.
                                                who's dumb?

you can use them and pay off the statement balance each month and never pay interest... and increase credit limit/rating slowly by paying on time

so you have them ready and on hand with decent credit limits in case of some type of emergency in life when they would be a life saver

Pretty sure the first thing I said was you don't HAVE to pay interest.

But I think I mis read your post to begin with, hence you misread mine.

I think you are using c c 's but paying it off.

They gave it out as a sign up bonus at one time.....spend 4k in 3 months.....no points whatsoever involved--right now the bonus is 40K points......ive only seen them do it one time ever..and like you said-cant get another personal with them until after 2 years clear of the other.....

I did it two years ago and it's by far the best churning deal out there. I'm going to get the wife to do it for 2020.

The great thing is that you get the companion pass in the year you earn it plus the next calendar year. I got mine for almost two years. Thousands in free flights.
